(Insert Graphic2120-0012.tif) Third Sunday of Lent

In this third week of Lent, the gospel challenges us to repent. What are you clinging
to that is actually destroying you? It could be anger that is eating you up; a
jealousy that hardens your heart; or a false pride that blinds you to the goodness of
others. These things can destroy us and the relationships that we value. In this
Jubilee Year of Mercy let us see repentance in a positive light as an opportunity to
be embraced by Jesus great mercy that will set us free.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord!
320 Holy Hours were kept with Our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration last week.
The best time you spend on earth is with Jesus, your Best Friend, in the Blessed
Sacrament. "How great is the value of conversation with Christ in the Blessed
Sacrament, for there is nothing more consoling on earth, nothing more
efficacious for advancing along the road of holiness!" (Pope Paul V) Please call Judy
at 330-212-0926 for more information about the Holy Hour program.

there.
Next week, our parish will take up The Catholic Relief Services Collection. This
collection supports six Catholic agencies that touch more than 100 million lives
around the world. The funds from this collections help provide food to the hungry,
support to displaced refugees, and Christs love and respect to all people. Next week,
please give generously to The Catholic Relief Services Collection and help Jesus in
disguise.
Culture of Life will meet in the rectory Tuesday, March 1, 2016 following the 5:15pm Mass
and Benediction. Recent events such as the exposure of Planned Parenthood's illegal sales
of aborted babies, and the sudden death of Justice Antonin Scalia have brought the issue of
abortion and its importance to the debate on the upcoming elections. We can no longer
afford to bury our heads in the sand and pretend this evil does not exist! St. John Paul II
called on us, the Body of Christ through and with the help of His Church to have the
courage to reject the culture of death and the strength to build a new Culture of Life. "...I
have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; therefore choose life, that you and
your descendants may live." (Deut:30:19.) Please come and add your ideas and voices to
this most important struggle for the soul of our country. For more information contact Lynn
Willig at 330-472-9452.
