Crest Court is an exciting development

overlooking the beach at Newquay. In 2009
Source Energy were chosen to install two
commercial-capacity heat pumps to supply all
of the energy required for the heating and hot
water to 17 of the apartments. Our client was
keen to use a ‘green’ energy source as
opposed to gas and wanted a system that
would allow the new owners of the apartments
to benefit from low running and maintenance
costs.

Each of the apartments uses thermo-

statically controlled underfloor heating that
maintains a relatively constant, comfortable
temperature throughout the year.
This delivers much lower running costs than a
conventional heating system, and is far
kinder on the building fabric which means
lower maintenance costs over the lifetime of
the building.
