Spanish Club
In Spanish Club, our goal is to promote awareness and acceptance of various
cultures and traditions in Spanish-speaking countries around the world. For
example, our club recently attended the Hispanic Flamenco Ballet in Madison where
a history of Latin and Spanish culture was taught through music and
dance. Additionally, our students offer their time to help others through various
activities. This year, our club will promote events such as bell ringing, a schoolsupply drive for a local school, and a fundraiser called "The Pulsera Project" that
helps create jobs and supports education in Nicaragua.

Spanish Club Advisors

Spanish Club is a way to experience the culture of the language youre learning. As
a club, we went to an authentic Hispanic ballet, featuring many classic dances and
music in the Hispanic culture. We are able to participate in community service
activities, like bell ringing and helping out at a bilingual elementary school. Being a
part of Spanish Club is another way to expand our Spanish knowledge with people
who share the same goal.

NHS
The National Honor Society (NHS) was organized in 1921 to recognize outstanding
high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those
students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership,
service, and character. Locally, the Bonduel High School NHS chapter coordinates a
blood drive, assembles holiday meal boxes for needy families, participates in the
Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign, and assists in other local projects. When
asked why they feel being an NHS member is important, seniors Cassy Bonnin and
Miranda Schmidt indicated, There are scholarship opportunities, service options,
leadership positions, and character building activities that shape young individuals
into responsible adults.

Dance Team
Last year Bonduel High School added a new Varsity sport: the Dance Team. The
team performed a choreographed routine during the halftime of home football
games and is expanding their season this 2015-2016 year to provide entertainment
at home basketball games. "The Dance Team at Bonduel High School is a great
addition," Emily Fassbender, captain of the team, stated, "because not only does it
let girls express their passion for dance, but it teaches leadership, determination,
hard-work, and most importantly, self-confidence." In addition, the team coordinates
several after school bonding activities so the athletes can form strong, positive
relationships with other teammates across different grade and interest levels. Sierra
VanBellinger, a Senior, auditioned for the Dance Team for this reason: "I joined the
Dance Team because it's a good way to create more positive relationships with
others and make new friends." The squad also focuses not only on team work but
also igniting individual talents in which the performances "allow one to express
themselves," as Morgan Dunst, a Junior, noted when asked why she appreciates the
new sport. The Bonduel High School Dance Team fosters an appreciation for the art
of
dance
within
the
community,
generates confidence
in
young

women, showcases individual talents, and is part of the excelling athletic program in
our school district.

SADD
Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) is a student organization and
promotes good choice making for the students at Bonduel High School. Throughout
the year, SADD hosts activities to give students something smart and safe to
participate in. We put on a bonfire following the Homecoming football game, we
celebrate Red Ribbon Week, and host a fun lock-in following prom. To give back to
the community, SADD partners with other members of the school district to raise
money for families during the holiday season. This is a great way to remind
students that reaching out and helping others is just as meaningful and important
as making good personal decisions.

Student Council
Student Council is a student lead organization that represents the student body of
Bonduel High School. The club hosts events throughout the year for the students
and the Bonduel community. Some of these events include the planning of
Homecoming Week, hosting a Veterans Day breakfast, participating in a highway
clean up, decorating the school to get in the holiday season, and providing a Holly
Jolly Giveaway where we collected new winter items to donate to families in need.
