 Digipak? What’s that?
• “Digipaks are a type of CD packaging
constructed out of card stock or other heavy
paper/cardboard. Digipak’s can flip open like a
book, or it can have three parts, so that one
portion of the packaging opens to the right
and one that opens to the left, with the CD in
the center. Usually the CD holder is made from
plastic and attached to the paper background”

 Types of Digipaks
• Jewel Case: is the original compact disc case
that has been used since the compact disc was
first released in 1982.
• WowWallet: is an eco-friendly CD/DVD
packaging concept.
• JakeBox: is a swedish packaging concept. It’s
main concept is the folded “claw” that holds
the disc.
 Final Decision
• I have decided that my digipak will be the four
sided version. On the inside right panel there
is a crystal clear disc tray that will allow my
artwork to show through from the inside
page.
