It was an unbelievable position in December, in the top
three of the league yet days away from going into
administration! Chris Wilder had performed wonders
with a small squad and without some key players who
had not recovered from last seasons injuries.
However the knight in shining armour appeared at the
11th hour in the form of Kelvin Thomas who paid off the
clubs debts saved it from possible demise.
Having worked with the manager at Oxford it was going
to be a good working relationship proved by the clubs
current position.
