Installation Guidelines for Dust Monitor with Electrical Actuators

1) Dust Monitor comprises of following.

i)

Transceiver units 02 Nos. with 10 meter cable length.

ii)

Site Mounting flanges (Mild Steel) & SS Flanges 02 Nos.

iii)

MS Stub Pipes 02 Nos.

iv)

Power Supply Unit 01 No.

v)

Signal Processing Unit 01 No.

vi)

Data Display Unit 01 No.

vii)

*Actuator Control Unit 01 No.

* - Only supplied when electrical actuators have been supplied.

2) Installation Location: - Refer below figure for proper location. Location should be safe and
approachable. It should also has proper platform to work.

Air blower

3) Prepare two holes exactly opposite to each other (@180 degree) on stack/ duct wherever
the instrument has to be mounted. For dimensions refer drawing attached.
It is recommended to make holes at eye level height for smooth & safe handling.
4) Grout/ weld both the MS stub pipes (75 mm dia) supplied with the consignment on these
holes. Kindly ensure minimum 50 75 mm stub pipe should remain outside of stack/duct.
Refer drawing attached for more clarity.
5) Weld supplied MS flanges on these stub pipes properly.
6) Screw & mount the supplied SS flanges on MS flanges. Screws are supplied with the
flanges.
7) In case if you have more than one dust monitors; bifurcate all units as per serial numbers.
Ensure serial number of SPU/PSU/Transceivers, ACU are same.

8) Install SPU/PSU/ACU Units on one Channel or JB and mount the same on stack/ duct
railing.
* Here note that transceiver cable length is 10 meter hence this units should be mount
such that cables of both the transceivers will reach to SPU.

9) Install blower units (if supplied) on stack. Provide 230V AC UPS power supply to the same.
(* Blower Units: - Optional; hence check whether its a part of supply or not)
If blower is not a part of supply;
Lay down instrument air connection (min. 5 Kg/cm2 pressure) up to platform where transceiver
going to install). Install AFR Unit at stack and lay down 10 mm PU tubing from AFR to both the
sides of unit for purging.
10) Mount both the transceiver units at stack as shown below.

11) Carry out hose piping from blower unit to both the transceiver units.
12) Lay down 110-230V AC UPS power supply up to PSU.
13) Lay down signal cable (4-20mA output) from control room / SCADA to DDU (display unit).
14) Install both the transceiver units as per below photo. Lay down both the transceiver cables
& coil/actuator cables up to SPU/ACU Units.
