The song Run by Jasmine Thompson relates to the novel All
The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. I hid my secrets in a box
I did exactly what you said is a phrase that could be said by Marie
Laure. Throughout the book this blind character holds a big secret and
she is in multiple positions where her only option is to do what she is
told. When Run says that phrase it is as if Marie Laure in saying that
from her point of view as she hides and does what she knows she
should do. You set the world on fire, a phrase that may be associated
with the other main character. While Warner worked with the Germans
he set the world on fire in a way. The Germans took over the world
like a fire could, spreading hatred and death. So tell me when you run,
I wanna run with you Tell me where you hide, I wanna come to you is
a significant phrase to communicate what Warner was thinking when
he bailed with Marie Laure. The two of them were running from the
Germans and the place they were. Warner wanted to be with her and
hide with her therefore this phrase is from his point of view expressing
his need to run and hide with Marie Laure. The song Run relates to

parts of All The Light We Cannot See because the phrases that relate
to the feelings, thoughts, and actions that occurred in the story.
