CAREER RESEARCH ASSIGNMENT GUIDE


STEP 1:
Planning 10 Career research project

1)

Go to www.careercruising.com
Username: Tweedsmuir
Password: Careers

2)

From the button bar at the top of the page, select PLAN then CREATE A
NEW PLAN enter in the required information then click on CREATE PLAN.

3)

From the button bar at the top of the page select MATCHMAKER to begin
questions. You will be asked your name again then click START A NEW
CAREER MATCHMAKER SESSION.

Begin to answer the questions, there are 4 groups of questions. Group 1 is 39


questions, Group 2 is 55 questions, Group 3 is out of 7 questions, Group 4 is
out of 15 questions. After each group of questions, click SAVE TO MY PLAN
then click GO TO CAREER MATCH MAKER then click ANSWER MORE
QUESTIONS TO IMPROVE MY RESULTS.

When there are no more questions to answer PRINT AND KEEP your final
list of 40 careers.

Go to the know yourself section and take ALL the self-assessment quizzes. It is
important to do all the quizzes to get a full picture of your interests and a more
accurate assessment of your interests.

and asking questions.

10. Disadvantages of Occupation:Lawyers have to work long hours as much as 80


hours a week. Many lawyers think about their clients cases during their time off.
They often have to work with clients they might not like and there are some violent
clients they have to work with

I am good with researching and collecting information and making a good use form
it. I listen to others while speaking and making sure I fully understand. As well as
making sure I clearly understand the readings I read.

For your undergraduate degree, select the program that you will enjoy studying
and for law school who have degrees in engineering, biochemistry, English
literature, political science, economics, music etc.

Working conditions:

Lawyers do most of their work in offices, law libraries and courtrooms. Daily duties
range from the attending of meetings to the gathering evidence and preparing of
case work.

Typical hours of work:Some will make efforts to stick to a standard eight hour
working day, in court cases, the hours and intensity efforts required will be
determined by the nature and severity of the case

researching and helping others.but I also would like to work in an office. I

What are the Future Trends of this occupation:The employment growth rate
will likely be average because the high cost of legal services may lead people to use
alternative dispute resolution processes that do not necessarily involve lawyers. The
number of job seekers will likely match the number of job openings.

There is little opportunity for career change late on. You have to provide emotional
support for patients during treatment that can be painful and difficult to perform.

I am good with communicating with others and making sure they are comfortable. I
also like helping people with physical problems because I personally know the pain
they are going through. I am good with hands on task and listening to people to try
to make them fell better.

Pathology, Anatomy, Biomechanics, physiology

Working conditions:

The job can be physically demanding because therapists often have to stoop, kneel,
crouch, lift, and stand for long periods. Physical therapists have to move heavy
equipment and lift patients or help them turn, stand, or walk.

include some evenings and weekends.

experienced a injury which I then had to see a physical therapist to recover. I got to

increase much faster than the average, as growth in the number of individuals with
disabilities or limited functioning spurs demand for therapy services. Job
opportunities should be good in hospitals, rehabilitations and in orthopedic.

design.

10. Disadvantages of Occupation: Most interior designers are *freelancers and


don't get a steady income. But when they do get paid, They get paid a lot. So if you
become a well known interior designer, you shouldn't have a problem. You may
come across many different clients that have very different opinions about your
design than you might have. Be aware of that and know how to fix the problem.

I love designing and I love working with different materials.

rough sketches and a mood board - a collection of suitable images, colours and
materials

Typical hours of work: Interior designers typically work 39 hours a week,
Monday to Friday. Some evening and weekend work may be required. Designers are
based in design studios, although a lot of time is spent on location. Self-employed
designers may work from home.

programs in the TV about designing so I have seen what it is like to work as an
interior designer and I would like to work as one.
