INFORMATION ON 2016 CPC ACS CONGRESS, SEPT 25- OCT1, 2016

This 2016 CPC Congress will be held in Port Moresby City and we are aiming to use
modern facilities that our Countrys capital provides. Some of these facilities are
newly built convention centre at Waigani, SP Games sports facilities etc. for our
Congress activities. We have also negotiated with CPC administration to use Mt
Diamond Secondary School Campus newly built two dormitories as
accommodation sites for our delegates (we may use some facilities of Mt
Diamond Secondary for the Congress).
This ACS Congress is project focus. In other words, ACS stands for providing
services to communities in Christs name; therefore it is only appropriate we
present something as a gift or mark of our 2016 ACS Congress to a selected
community in Port Moresby which will stand or remain in the community as a gift
from Central Papua Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church after the
Congress is over. Many a times, we host congresses without leaving behind
something for the people we are called to witness to.

The individual registration fee is K700 which covers T-shirts, stationaries,

fees for venue hires and accommodation, etc. This K700 fee will assist us in hiring
the expensive facilities in the City and fulfilling our ACS dream of hosting
memorable ACS Congress for all of our faithful members.
To avoid hiccups, it is wise that you personally pay your K700 fees at CPC
Treasury or talk to your District Director to work out ways of paying your fees.
Each local church will contribute K300 to the Congress. This K300
contribution from the local churches will go towards the community project
stated above. We kindly ask the local churches not to make big issue on this K300
contribution as we are venturing into do something good for some people. Many
times we expect good things from our government this project is our way of
sharing our blessings with others. This idea is similar to Mission 15 concept, in
which Central Papua Conference gave fully furnished Maternity Ward to the
people of Kairuku and Mekeo. The Maternity Ward of Bereina was done at the
cost of over K300, 000.
