1). Perform a data collection for particular areas in GMI.
GROUP 1: Hostel
GROUP 2: Administration building (KPU)
GROUP 3: Library
GROUP 4: BLOCK T (ET)
GROUP 5: FtecH Building
2). Content:
a. Introduction of the building/area
b.Electricity bill
c. Actual Layout Plan and acreage
d. Data Collection (In table) including: - Components/Equipments, Quantities, Power Input Per
unit (W), Operating hours (hr), Energy consumption (kWh), Cost etc.

Compare calculated cost of energy with electricity bill.

e. Attach photos of every components/equipments.

f. Calculate the Building Energy Index (BEI) for each area/building and compare with BEI
standard in MS 1525:2007- Code of Practise Use of EE & RE for Non-residential Buildings.
g. Summary table.
h. Figure out any wasting of energy practise in the area/building and propose the energy saving
reccomendation.

4). Write a report and submit by 30th March 2016 (follow energy audit report format)
5). This group task will be evaluated as Assignment 1 accounted for 100marks.
