My Dream Speech
This morning I come to today not only because it is apart of my grade; but this gives me
the opportunity to voice my opinion. My opinion is on the racial oppression of police officers in
America.here
Over 240 years of slavery, over 150 years since the abolishment of slavery, and it has
been 50 years since the I have a dream speech. Now here we are still being bullied by the mother
of all bullies the protectors of injustice; our government systems.
Today the lives of our young men are being threatened by improperly trained, and
abusive police men. The trending movement "#Blacklivematter", shows how people are sick of
the sword of injustice slashing the spirits and lives of African American men.
Today innocent lives are recklessly being taken by the navy blue suits that patrol the
streets. And these blue suits never, face the bondage behind the bars of shame and disgrace for
their actions. Nor, for the hearts and families they have hurt and diminished from the decisions
they have made.

Today we take this movement a step forward. Another trending movement is
#Alllivesmatter. Over 50 years ago Dr. King addressed this matter. We all should be treated equal
no matter what race, religion, or gender. This is because all lives matter.
My dream is for the oppression against African Americans. In this I want for all people
of any race to not be mistreated because of poisonous stereotypes bitten into other from the snake
of ignorance and misinformation. By this can we save lives and come together as a family of
many backgrounds.
My dream is for our government to not try to push our need for change away because of
our skin color and our wealth. Our government ignores the needs of the people in cases of water,
police officers, and our school systems. In this I want for all kids to have equal education. All
people to have honest policer officers who wears the badge of integrity. By this all people can
have clean water to use for themselves and their families.
My dream is for everyone to be themselves and have equal needs with being judged for
their choices. In this people can be themselves. By this people can be whatever they want,
whoever they want, where and whenever they want.
The dreams I wish to come true are the dreams many have wished for years. When we get
our dreams we will sing like a canary. Maya Angelou said she knows why the caged bird sings.
The canary sings because it cries for independence. It is tired of the bondage and limited rights it
has. The caged bird sings for freedom.
Freedom. It is what we crave for most in this world. Free to be me and free to be you, and
free to be able to live our lives. When this chaos in the world is over we will be free. Free to be

my skin color, free to be in my religion, free to live in a society who cares for my need, and free
to be able to speak my voice. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said 51 years ago " Free at last! Free
at last!" And freedom is what we stand for!
