Young Orpheus Club: First Two Years, 2014 2015

Young Orpheus Club is a weelky TV show with cultural topics and live classical music performances by
aspiring and established artists, broadcast on the Internet at www.orfeu.tv since April 2014 with the participation of students
from the Music and Arts Gymnasia and Music Universities in Romania. The show is produced in memory of late Rodica Sava promoter of young talent with her live radio show Today's Musicians... Tomorrow's Musicians and Iosif Sava, host of
legendary TVR2 show Musical Soire, broadcast between 1980-1985 and 1990 1998.
Basics
Young Orpheus Club is broadcast live every Tuesday from 9pm and is moderated by TV journalist and opera
director Ms. Cristina Lascu, PhD, and by producer and music afficionado Mr. Mihai Hristu.
The target audience includes educated music lovers from Romania and abroad, who fill concert halls up to the last
seat at music festivals, watch classical music TV channels and are interested to discover a moment earlier the new
generations of musicians and their fresh interpretations of classical works.
Since the end of 2015 a Daily Classic Moment featuring selections from the show's recordings is published, with
Facebook promotion leading to huge viewers' impact. The shows are financed from ticket sales, donations,
sponsorship and advertising.
