CASTLETON INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

IS SOUNDING LIKE THE EASIEST SOUNDINGS
Students: How watching one French film can get you closer to
your Soundings credit
This semester, Castleton State College has decided to add a film from the
Castleton International Film Festival (IFF) to its list of approved Soundings
Events. This film, entitled La guerre est dclare or Declaration of
War will be shown in Herrick Auditorium on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015
from 6:30-8:30PM and will be the first film to kick off the Castleton IFF
which will span through March 19th. However, Soundings students need only
attend the first film. Thats right, just ONE movie.
Declaration of War depicts the harrowing and true tale of a couple who
must struggle against all odds after their eighteen month old soon receives a
very grave diagnosis. This film was a finalist for Best Foreign Language Film
in the 2012 Academy Awards and also received a rating of a full 5 stars from
Le Monde (an important French newspaper) stating Against cancer, its an
undoubtable force of happiness. Sounds like a lot more fun than sitting
through another Castleton musical, huh? So be sure to pick up your ticket
soon seating is very limited!!
Other films that will be shown throughout the festival include:
Un Homme Qui Crie (A Screaming Man) March 17th, 2015. 6:308:30PM.
Panique Au Village (A Town Called Panic) March 19th, 2015. 6:308:30PM.
All films will be shown in Herrick Auditorium.
