This document outlines 9 experiments for an electromechanical energy conversion course. The experiments cover testing various properties of single-phase transformers including polarity, voltage ratio, and open/short circuit tests. Additional experiments involve connecting transformers in 3-phase to 2-phase configurations and controlling the speed of DC motors through armature resistance and field flux control. Further experiments determine losses and efficiency of DC machines using Hopkinson's test and obtaining load characteristics of DC shunt generators and magnetizing characteristics of series generators.
