Schill also co-authored numerous books and was editor of Housing and Community Development in New York City: Facing The Future. The University of Oregon Board of Trustees appointed Schill as the 18 th president on April 14, 2015 and he took office in July. Previously, Schill served as the dean of at University of Chicagos and UCLAs law schools. During his five and a half years at UCLA, alumni donations doubled and private philanthropy tripled. It is truly an honor to receive this award from the Chamber of Commerce, said Schill. The remarkable students of the University of Oregon inspire me to lead and make a difference in this community.
