Under his tutelage, the mind set of devotees improved and the temple became the perfect epitome of the power of devotion. This enhanced the devotees service and their hard work was appreciated by everyone. He was an ardent follower of the teachings of the great Nayanar saint, Thirugnaana Sambandar. He was inspired by the latter's words of wisdom and led his life piously, serving the devotees and Lord Shiva while encouraging others to do the same.
