Scholarship Recipient
Mirella Quintana 16
Business Administration
Born in Peru, Mirella came to the United States at the
age of seven, needing to learn a new language and
continue her education in a wondrous but strange new
country. Driven by her desire to eventually succeed
in the world of business, Mirella was accepted into
the Academy for Finance and International Business
at the Morris County School of Technology. At the age of 17, she interned with
DoSomething.org, Americas largest non-profit organization for youth. That experience
inspired Mirella to combine business expertise with philanthropy and eventually form
her own non-profit organization. After graduating from CCM, she intends to pursue
a bachelors degree in finance at a four-year college and continue her work helping
underprivileged children and families in her native Peru. Mirella is the recipient of
both the David Rossnagel Memorial Scholarship and the Oliver Sheffield Minority
Student Scholarship.
