Problem Statement
The client became involved with DSS 2014 because of concerns with
domestic violence and substance abuse. She has a past history of
DV and cocaine use.
The main event that lead to her children being placed with the
fathers family. The client and her husband were arguing and she
says that the husband shot her. However the husband said that a
guy the client was apparently talking to was there and he shot her
and this is the story that DSS believed. The husband or the
supposed other lover was not arrested.
Even though she is not with the father or does not contact him he
continues to harass her via facebook messages.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths- she has a job, transportation, seems to be very compliant
with the services.

Limitations- does not have custody only supervised visits, she has to
travel long distances to make the visits which could sometimes
conflict with her job. Also the past issues of drug use could be an
issue and she has yet to take a drug test at this time.
