Dear Starla Bickerstaff,
Nacogdoches Area United Way is pairing up with SFA Mens Basketball Coach Brad
Underwood to compete in the 2015 Infiniti Coaches Charity Challenge for a chance
to win $100,000.
Approximately 26% of Nacogdoches County residents live below the poverty line.
Nacogdoches Area United Way heads the main effort to motivate and enable those
in need. They work to improve health, education and financial wellbeing. They have
partnered with Stephen F. Austin State University Mens Basketball Coach Brad
Underwood for a chance to win $100,000 to use in the Nacogdoches area.
The 2015 Infiniti Coaches Charity Challenge involves 48 coaches and their
respective charities from across the nation. Brad Underwood has embraced the
challenge by creating a series of parody advertisements using SFA Basketball and
even SFA cheerleaders.
Coach Underwood is doing a decent job promoting himself, but he needs extra help
to compete with the rest of the coaches. The final round of voting runs through
March 15, and we need help reaching the Nacogdoches community and motivating
everyone to vote.
NAUW is a non-profit organization that requires funds to serve the Nacogdoches
community effectively. They fund over 20 agencies in Nacogdoches County, all of
which benefit the community. They are also a huge supporter of Nacogdoches ISD,
assisting children of all ages and grade levels. Acquiring the $100,000 prize would
vastly help NAUW improve upon their efforts.
