In The American Conservative there is an article Seven Reasons Police Brutality Is
Systemic, Not Anecdotal. This article talks about police brutality and the facts behind it to give
an insight to what goes wrong in the police force. I can agree to a lot of things in this article like
how there are a few bad apples in the police force but what I will say is that all cops are not bad
cops. In this generation kids think that authority does not apply to them and that is not tolerable
to begin with but kids have to push the cops to a point where they have to act violently. I mean
those kids are testing their authority and they have to keep authority or else there is no sense in
having law enforcement if they cant enforce authority. Now with the cops that take it too far that
deserve to go to prison those are the cops that give a bad name to the whole force. The article
mentioned something in the end about video surveillance, this could help with court cases and
show that some people have it coming to them while others don't and the cop was in the wrong.
At the end of the day we should all respect law enforcement and they should respect civilians.
