Aurel Mares holds the position of Reliability Manager since September 2009. Before was in
charge as a Mechanical Plant Coordinator of Petrotel-LUKOIL refinery. He graduated in
1992 Petroleum and Gas Institute of Ploiesti, Romania, Mechanical faculty. He has an
outstanding experience and is familiar with refinery and petrochemical mechanical
equipment plant. As Head of Mechanical Department, he has experience of a wide range of
dynamic and static equipment and from the beginning he worked with all kind of high
speed rotating assembly, reciprocating and centrifugal pumps and compressors, steam
turbines, various vessels, pipe systems. Also he is actively involved in preparing
maintenance programs/ procedures (predictive, corrective and planned maintenance) and
has experience in the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and modification
activities carried out of various mechanical equipments in the plant.
