Kelley Date: March 22, 2016 Re: Candidate for the First Vice Chair of Alabama Democratic Party Please accept this letter as an official announcement from me that | will run to fill the vacant position the First Vice Chair on the State Democratic Executive Committee (SDEC) which became vacant due to the untimely death of our good friend Redding Pitt. 1 ask for your support when we vote to fill that position on April 2"'2016, at the SDEC meeting in Montgomery. My credentials as a Democrat are unparalleled. My loyalty to the Party is second to none. For your information, | have been a Democrat all of my life and | have served faithfully as the Vice Chair to the Alabama Democratic Conference and a member of the Democratic National Committee for many years. While serving both of these bodies, | sought to make friends, maintain my principles and make Alabama look good. In addition, | personally extended the invitation on behalf of the Alabama Democratic Conference to Secretary Hillary Clinton to speak at the ADC Semi-Annual Convention on October 16, 2015. ‘Some of my Accomplishments and Achievements over the years includes but are not limited to the following: ‘+ Igraduated from Jacksonville State University with a B. S. I have attended several Democratic Conventions and | have answered present to all of the Alabama Democratic Conference challenges. My goal as First Vice Chair would be to help the Chair as needed and requested, { believe in working together. We can build our party, sharpen our message, and prevent the Republicans from destroying this ountry.
