The solutions in the document are the operation method for particular alarm.
Actually, sometimes the different alarms will rise in a site or sector. One alarm may
be caused by another. Hence, we need to distinguish the priority of these alarms
when handle them. The structure of the document follows the priority (like the
contents).

1 RF Unit ALD Current Out of Range

Alarm Reason: The ALD current alarm thresholds is setting properly; Installation or
connection problem.
Solution: When the alarm is rising without any operation, the firs the first thing is to
check the configuration of current alarm threshold. If the threshold is right, that means
there is some mistake existing in physical line. Hence, the installation and connection
should be checked on site and check is there any arrester or attenuator used in the
ALD line.
Operation:
M2000(LMT)DSP ANTCON SET ALDPWRSWturn off SET
ALDPWRSWturn on with the properly thresholdDSP ANTCON SCN
ALD ADD ALDLST ALDDSP ALDVER-check alarm
On-siteCheck the installation and connection of ALD line. Detail information can
be found in the document <The solutions for Alarm of ALD Current Out of Range>.

2 ALD Maintenance Link Failure

Alarm Reason:
1There is no device installed in the ALD line;
2Incorrect configuration;
3 Connection problem of the AISG cable(the blue line in the figure below), when
the connection between RCU and TMA is wrong, the current will lower about 60mA
than other sector, and the RCU can not be scanned. A example is shown in the
attachment Example

4 The confused connection of feeders or jumpers. As the figure below, the jumper
of sector3 has be connected to the TMA of sector1. So, even there is no the alarm of
RF Unit ALD Current Out of Range, the problem is caused by wrong installation.
To judge this situation, we can turn off the dc supply in the alarm port ,then if the
current of another N1B
port in other sectors increase, that means the two ports in different
sectors are connected to one TMA. (See attachment Example2)

Solution:
1 Conform the ALD network and installation status, avoid to add the device which
do not exist;
2 Configure the device in right way;
3 Check the AISG connection between RCU and TMA.
4 Check the tag of jumpers, clear up all the jumpers and their mark. Confirm the
each jumpers is installed in the right ports (may need to check the jumpers actual

connection with hand from end to end.)

Operation:
1 Conform the ALD network and installation status
2 Configure the device following the < NodeB-R12-ALD System Configuration
Guide > and < NodeB-R13-ALD System Configuration Guide >.
Remark
Sometimes the situation Execution timed out is also caused by Incorrect
configuration, so, re-configure following the guide will solve the problem.
3If the sectors current is lower about 60mA than other sectors, and the RCU can
not be scanned. Re-connect the AISG cable between RCU and TMA.

mark. Confirm

3 RET Antenna Not Calibrated RET Antenna Motor

Fault
Alarm Reason:
The wrong configuration data file; Connection or Installation problem
Solution:
Re-load the configuration data file to match the antenna model and then calibrate; if
not work, check the installation of RCU.

4 RET Antenna Running Data and Configuration

Mismatch
Alarm Reason:
RCU configured tilt is different with the current tilt.
