MotionArtist Installation Guide

To use MotionArtist, it is necessary to install the program onto the computers hard disk. Before performing the
installation, please ensure that your computer system meets the following hardware and software specifications.

System Requirements

Computer
A computer that runs the one of the following operating systems.
Note: A drive that can read CD-ROMs is also required to read the physical installation CD.

OS
Windows XP, Windows 2000
Note: Administrator rights are required if using Windows XP or Windows 2000.
Note: MotionArtist does not operate under Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 3.1, or Windows NT
3.5x.

Memory
Sufficient memory to comfortably run the computers OS.

Resolution/Color
800 x 600 pixels, High Color [16 bit/32,768 colors]
Recommended configuration: (1,024 x 768 pixels, True Color [24 bit, 16,770,000 colors])

Hard Disk
200 MB or more free space
Note: Enough free space on the hard disk to save the data created by the program is also required.

Installing and Uninstalling the Program


The MotionArtist install/uninstall procedure is the same as that of normal Windows software. Please use the
following procedure.
Installation
If there are any programs already running, please quit them before beginning the installation.
1. Insert the MotionArtist CD-ROM into the computers CD/DVD-ROM drive.
2. The installer will automatically run.
Note: If the installer does not automatically run, please double-click Setup MotionArtist 4.exe on the
CD-ROM to start the installer.

3. Follow the messages on the screen to complete the installation.

Uninstallation
To stop using MotionArtist and remove the installed MotionArtist program from your computers hard disk, please
follow the procedure outlined below. Even if MotionArtist is uninstalled, the data files created with MotionArtist
will not be deleted.
1. Open the Windows Control Panel.
2. Click Add/Remove Programs.
Note: If using an OS other than Windows XP, click Add/Remove Programs.

3. The Add/Remove Programs dialog will appear.


4. Select MotionArtist 4 from the list and click the Change/Remove button.
Note: If using an OS other than Windows XP, the name of the button may be different.

5. A confirmation dialog will appear. If you really want to delete the program, click the OK button.
6. The uninstall process will begin. When the uninstallation has finished, click the Finish button.
