    TheiPadsintheMiddleSchoolhavebeeninrotationforthepastthreeyearsandhaveseen
    heavyuse.Manyofthecasesareinpoorconditionandthetabletsthemselvesareshowing
    theirwearthroughuseandtheageoftheoperatingsystem.TheiPad2hasbeenonthe
    marketsince2011andApplestoppedsellingthemin2014.TheiPad2continuestooperate
    underApplescurrentoperatingsystem(iOS9),butmaynotbefullysupportedunderiOS10
    (generallyreleasedinthefall).

    TeachersthroughouttheDistrictarecurrentlyusingtheiPad4.

    Thethought,frommembersofthecommitteebothpresentandabsent,wastolookatreplacing
    theiPadsattheMiddleSchool.

    ThisopensupthelargerconversationofwhattodowiththeteacheriPadsnotonlyatthe
    MiddleSchool,butthroughouttheDistrict.NotonlyaretheiPad2susedinthemiddleschool,
    buttheyarealsousedinotherprogramsandbuildingsthroughouttheDistrict.Whatwill/should
    happenwiththeseiPads?ThehighschoolhastwocartsofiPadsusedbythescience
    departmentaswellastheartdepartment.Somemembersofthehighschoolteachingstaff
    continuetohaveiPads,DellVenues,andtheirlaptops.TheALCmidlevelstudentsandstaff
    arealsousingiPad2s.
