The Metric System is easy to use because there are fewer
units to memorize and convert.
Because the Metric System is based on multiples of 10,
you can easily convert from one unit to another.
The Metric System uses prefixes to help you judge how
big or small a measurement is. The prefixes kilo, hecto,
and deka are used to measure larger units. The prefixes
deci, centi, and milli are used to measure smaller units.
The Metric System allows Scientists to compare data and
communicate with each other about their results.

The Metric System is used in Science and other

developed countries to measure length, volume, mass,
