returnedtoBathandlivedthereuntiltheirdeath.ShewasburiedatStSwithin'schurchWalcot,wherethere

on14SouthParadewhereshestayedin1780withHesterandHenryThrale.
From1815to1818shelivedat23GreatStanhopeStreetwithherhusbandGeneralAlexanderd'Arblay
(17521818),whoisrememberedbyawallmemorialinsidethechurch.Hiswifeandsonwereburiedcloseto
hisgraveinthemortuarychapelgardenontheothersideofWalcotStreet.Theiroriginalgravestoneshaving
fallenintodisrepair,thechestmonumentwaserectedbytheBurneyfamilyin1906,andmovedtoitspresent
positionbythechurchauthoritiesin1955.
Thisplaquewaserectedin2005bytheBurneySocietyofGreatBritain,CanadaandtheUnitedStatesandthe
descendantsoftheBurneyfamily."
