Title: Mickey Mouse

Artist: Andy Warhol
When I look at this artwork I can see how Warhol is
trying to express popularity. Especially in the late 90s
and early 2000s, Mickey Mouse was a very famous
character throughout the world. Warhol does his best
was to try and express that popularity.
The two elements that stand out to this artwork is
shape and line. I can see shape because throughout
Mickeys head many different types of shapes are visible
on his head. Also, line is expressed because on the outer

line of Mickeys body and head, I can see other lines that
outline Mickey and make his figure stand out.
The mood for this artwork is very happy because
Mickey Mouse is a very popular character for all kids and
seeing Mickey Mouse reminds me of my childhood and
having a great time watching him.
I think Warhol is trying to send a message that
Mickey Mouse is very popular at the moment. He knew
that Mickey was booming at that time period.
I like this art work because I love the choice of
character he choose. Mickey is known by everyone and
represents my childhood.
