ST PATRICK'S LETTER

Dear Kyoko,
This Thursday 17th of March, is celebrated the Irish tradition St. Patrick's day.
Saint Patrick is the patron of Ireland. He lived in Ireland when he was young, but, when
he was about 22 years old, he went to France, and here, he learnt a lot about
Catholicism. Then he became a priest.
When he was 46 years old, he returned to Ireland to show the Irish people the religion
of catolicism and he evangelized the inhabitants.
Since this moment, the Irish were very grateful with Saint Patrick, and this saint was
converted in his patron.
Tomorrow is celebrating this festivity, and in my school, we celebrate too.
First, the corridors are decorated with shamrocks, leprechauns and more green
ornaments.
Also, if the students come to school with some green garment, the English department
will give the student a gold chocolate coin.
Finally, the musician students from IES Torre del Palau, play Celtic music at the playground
time.
These are some things that we are doing in the St. Patrick's day.
I hope you learned some thing about the Irish holiday St. Patrick.
