The day of san Patrician
It is celebrated anually on March 17 to commemorate the death of San Patricio,
Holy boss of Ireland. It is a national holiday in the Republic of Ireland (a holiday
habitually and not official in Northern Ireland), in Montserrat, in the Canadian
province of Newfoundland and Labrador and in the people of Albuñol (Granada).
The Day of san Patrician is celebrated worldwide by all the Irishes and even often
by people who does not have Irish ancestry. The celebration generally takes
everything as a subject matter what is green and Irish; both, Christians and not
Christians, celebrate the holiday regularly dressing of green, enjoying the Irish
gastronomy which includes cabbage and Irish drinks, and being present at parades.
The Parade of the day of san Patrician in Dublin forms a part of a festival that lasts
five days and more than 500.000 persons attended him in the year 2006. The
biggest parade of the day of san Patrician takes place in the city of New York and is
attended by more than two million spectators. The parade of the day of san
Patrician was celebrated by the first time in the city of New York on March 17, 1762
when the Irish soldiers went across the city.

This date is property for the many parades that are made very popular in
several countries, particularly in Ireland and the United States, such as the
celebrations in the cities of Dublin (since 1931) and New York (1762, when a
group of Irish soldiers marched through the city center, this being the first
celebration of the date).
Noting the great impact that generated this festival, since 1996 the Irish
government began a massive recall of this holy way, exploiting the full
potential it generates, using the traditional symbols of Ireland. Year after year
the celebration is more and more durable, extending up to 5 days of pure
celebration, color and joy.
But beyond the festival, we have four items relating to date related to each
other: the Leprechaun and the beer and the shamrock with Ireland's patron
saint.
