Working with Odyssey at Emory & Henry has given me such a beneficial
opportunity to work hard on my writing skills. With this position, I have
learned much about how people consume media online and how to
tailor a story for an audience. This position is demanding on deadlines
and hard work.

Although never on the official staff, I worked hard throughout my time at

Emory & Henry to write guest pieces in the campus newspaper. I have
written about 10 pieces in all about a number of topics.

During my time at Emory & Henry College I have learned a number of

skills and gathered an amount of knowledge that is such a privilege. I
have had the honor of working with some of the best professors in the
nation. With them I have learned about topics ranging. Examples of
such are how to report on war topics, advanced graphic design
techniques, and writing skills for every different type of journalistic
writing. Other classes that I have taken have also aided in this
knowledge. Such as Introductory Film, Prose Fiction, and Behavioral
Sciences classes, like Psychology and Sociology.
