1) The letter is from the parent of a student named Ushnish Chaktravarty requesting that he be excused from participating in an upcoming school camp from April 1-4 in Daman due to medical reasons.
2) Ushnish has a history of convulsions and is under constant medication that requires at least 8 hours of undisturbed sleep along with taking medicines and rest on a strict schedule.
3) While the parent acknowledges the educational benefits of the camp, they feel that Ushnish's medical needs would be difficult to accommodate during the camp activities outside of parental supervision.

Respected Madam
Sub: Application towards non participation in the Camp
This has reference to our discussion in your office on Monday, 28 th March,
regarding my ward Ushnish Chaktravarty not participating in the Camp slated to be held from 1st-4th April in Daman, on account of Medical reason. My son Ushnish, who is a student of standard IX-A, has a history of convulsions as a result he is under constant medication and his normal activities are time bound and guided by the doctors as he need to have at least 8 hours of sound sleep irrespective of any situation that may arise. We fully appreciate the efforts taken by Ryan Group to conduct this Camp, not only it provides a lot of insight to the world outside the mundane school activities but also develops a camaraderie amongst the peers. The confidence, spontaneity along with the social skill it develops are an asset to any student, overall a great learning opportunity which will be sorely missed by Ushnish. We wanted him to take part in this but given the schedule it will be very taxing on his part as he needs to sleep on time, take the right medicines on time, cant overstress, for slight headache he immediately needs to take rest etc. Realistically all these are difficult to maintain once one is with peers, outside the clutches of parents amidst lot of fun, frolic and activities. Its quixotic on our part to request any accompanying teacher to give a special attention towards Ushnish as they have a huge responsibility and encumbrance, managing so many students. I am attaching herewith, the copies of EEG reports, doctors prescription for your benign perusal and consideration. I would like to reiterate that its an opportunity lost for Ushnish. Hopefully he will be in a position to participate in such activities in future once he gets completely cured.
