To Whom it May Concern,
Hello, my name is Brixton Layne and I am a senior at Sanger High School. I have achieved a GPA of
4.136 and have taken seven AP classes as well as five honors classes. Throughout my high school
years, I have greatly challenged myself and plan to continue to challenge myself in the future. My
future is greatly important to me, and I am eager to pursue a degree in International Relations.
In this day and age, it is more pertinent than ever to be prepared for opportunities and goals in the
future. I am prepared for this, as I aspire to attend UC Davis four years. During this time, I will major
in International Relations.
Following my graduation my college, I plan on joining a a high profile business based in the Untied
States with international interests. By pursuing my interests, I will be sure to achieve my goals.
To set myself apart from others, I have engaged in several opportunities to challenge myself, think
critically, and guide my peers. This includes taking AP classes, performing community service, joining
extracurricular clubs such as 4-H, and participating in sports. Through AP courses and sports, I learned
how to balance a large workload effectively while also committing to my other interests. Community
service as well as 4-H has taught me how to work with others, guide a team, and the importance of
helping the community. I have participated in Dry Creek 4-H for over 6 years, showing sheep and
partaking in community service. The community service I have participated in includes spending time
at the Poverello house, where I help prepare and serve meals, as well as organizing city parades. During
my spare time I am an avid reader of news media. Through this, I have become knowledgeable in the
politics, policies, and diplomatic relations of countries around the world. Through my knowledge of
these systems, I am greatly prepared for the classes ahead of me. This experience has taught me to
problem solve and to fully understand a topic before I become begin discussing it, so that I can
efficiently and effectively accomplish my goal.
Any opportunity to discuss my adequacy at your convenience is greatly appreciated, and I can be
contacted by phone and email at (559) 743-4118 and bricklayne@gmail.com. Thank you very much for
your time and attention.
Sincerely,
Brixton Layne
