‘To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is in recommendation of Brixton Layne. I have had the privilege of knowing
Brixton for the past three years as a Sanger High School student and a member of the Sanger
High School Water Polo Team. Brixton has always displayed hard work, a tenacity to
improve, and a tremendous respect for not only himself but for those around him.
As far as Brixton in the classroom, he is the ideal student. | had the pleasure of having
Brixton in my World Literature Honors class through the 2013-2014 school year where he
was able to flourish as a learner and writer. He carries with him this elusive curiosity that
helps him pursue new goals and aspirations of whatever he chooses. Brixton may see this as
a simple gesture to learn, but what it really reveals is his willingness to be successful, his
willingness to be a leader, and his proactive attitude to become stronger and a more
mindful individual. He is optimistic, and applies that to everything and all that he does and
- pursues. These characteristics of his person are pertinent to evaluate him as a student, but
‘most importantly, as an active member of a community.
As noted above, Brixton has a very distinct curiosity with a willingness to succeed. With this
he has grown a sense of competitiveness and mental fortitude to persevere under situations
of high stress, We have had many conversations about being successful; we would discuss
leadership strengths and different aspects of mental strength, goal setting, and what he
might have to do differently as the years go by. He has always displayed a high degree of
integrity, responsibility, and leadership. He has always been quick to offer help to those who
need it, able to recognize what needs to be done in a situation, and offers the availability to
do it leading to his strong sense of a moral compass. His success comes in his mental
toughness, and his calm composure. In this light, he faces challenges, understands his
strengths, and looks to be passionate and successful academically and in life.
I feel that the character offered by this young man is something to marvel over and is a true
judge of the contribution he can make in this world. He is already very respected among
other teachers on campus, and has a reputation of being compassionate and caring towards
others, All of his efforts exemplify the characteristics of a thriving leader, but also a
compassionate member of the community. With great respect and honor, | am pleased to
recommend Brixton Layne: a strong contribution, and an exceptional candidate for any
endeavor he so chooses.
Respectfully, [
