First about Groove: its a 48 week bible study series divided into 12 parts
Allows kids to learn the important parts of faith and all God can do for them
Tries to get them engaged in the world
Tries to get them engaged in serving Jesus Christ
They boast outlines, leader notes, Bible background, reflections, and parent
communication
Temptations are constantly hammering and surround everyone
Its especially hard for teenagers to deal with temptation
o I would imagine because of the fact that a lot of teenagers have to deal with
adult problems but they havent reached the level of maturity necessary to
properly handle themselves in these situations
Avoidance is a quick fix and not always an option for teens who are still
developing emotionally, socially, spiritually etc.
Point of this study
o To show teens a healthy way to recognize and deal with the seven deadly
sins
Greed, pride, lust, sloth, gluttony, wrath, and envy
Hopefully understanding the impact of temptation will help youth realize the
spiritual implications and how to mature into adulthood, where temptation is
involved
The student journal includes exercises and daily devotionals
o The idea is that these will help teens effectively and healthily deal with
temptations and mature in their faith with Christ

Groove: Temptation is a potential bible study that I have been researching for the
purpose of my semester project, and I like it because the study tackles hard subjects that
we all have to deal with in day to day life, and offers healthy ways of dealing with said
subjects.
