FADE IN:
EXT. MUDDY HILL - DAY
Dog walkers and various travelers are strolling casually
through the fields and the dirt paths. A casually dressed
BOY [JAMES] and GIRL [KERRY] in their late teens are walking
down a muddy path on a gradual hill.
James is looking down at his phone and messaging
someone. Kerry is walking alongside James and is staring at
him, whilst glancing down at the mobile.
JAMES
Whats up? Why do you keep looking
at my phone?
KERRY
I was just seeing who you were
messaging!
JAMES
Well for god sake am I not allowed to message anyone without
you knowing anymore?!
KERRY
Well know cuz im walking here and
im bored, give me attention!
JAMES
Its annoying having someone look
over your shoulder every
five seconds!
KERRY
Well do you know what is annoying
James? This fucking stupid ring! So
you can have that back for all your
other girls.
Kerry pulls a ring off of her left hand and throws it at
James, then storming off back up the hill.
JAMES
Oh come on!
Kerry ignores James and keeps walking away from him. James
looks down at the ring on the floor and picks it back up,
putting it in his coat pocket.

JAMES
(sighs)....
James then carries on walking down the dirt path. As he is
walking along, he notices that his shoelace is coming
untied. He then stops and crouches down to tie them back up,
when two hooded figures are now moving behind him in the
distance. After he has tied the laces, he takes a quick look
behind and spots the two hooded figures following him.
JAMES
(Mutters under breath)
Oh god not again..
His turns quickly, jolts his head forward and starts to pace
down the path again. As he is moving down the path, he turns
his head around to look for an alternative route and spots a
small gap in the bushes to his right. He then quickly moves
through the opening.
EXT. GRASS FIELD - DAY
James walks through the gap in the bush to find grass
football pitch. He paces through this and turns down a steep
hill to the next pitch and takes one last glance around him.
There doesnt seem to be anyone in sight, so James sighs in
relief and takes Kerrys ring from his coat pocket. James
slowly moves it through his fingers, staring deeply into the
small etchings inside Until he hear a sudden shout.
ATTACKER #1
(Shouting outside of frame)
Oi dickhead!
All of a sudden, James is pushed violently to the floor by
one of the hooded figures, dropping the ring into the grass.
James tries to grab the ring off of the floor.
ATTACKER #2
Give us that fucking ring!
The attacker grabs the ring from James hand
ATTACKER #1
Give us your phone and wallet bruv!
The attacker pulls James back up off of the floor, grabbing
and holding him by both of his arms.
JAMES
Alright alright thats all ive
got.

James reaches into his pocket and passes the attacker an old
mobile phone.
ATTACKER #2
Wheres your wallet bruv!
JAMES
I dont have one, I dont have one!
ATTACKER #1
You sure bruv?!
JAMES
Yes, im sure.
Both men pushes James away from him and begins to walk off
into the distance.
ATTACKER #1
(Kisses his teeth)
Pagan.
The two attackers mutter to each other as they walk away
with James belongings, but as James is wiping himself down
of dirt, his other mobile phone goes off, alerting the two
men.
What?!

ATTACKER #2

James is desperately thumbling to turn off his mobile, but

can not get it out of his pocket quick enough. The two walk
back over to him and grab him by the neck of his coat.
ATTACKER #1
(shouting intensely)
I thought you didnt have anything
on you bruv!
JAMES
(Quietly)
I dont....
One of the attackers then pulls out a flip knife from his
bag and points it towards Jamess face. James procedes to
put his hands up in surrender.
JAMES
Alright alright...
ATTACKER #2
Give us that fucking phone bruv!

ATTACKER #1
Pass the phone!
James pulls out his actual phone from his pocket and hands
it to the man without the knife.
JAMES
There there take it, take it take
it!
The man takes the phone and pushes James away again, waving
the knife at him constantly as he is walking away.
ATTACKER #1
....Dickhead
James keeps his hands up in the air and turns around. He
covers his face with his hands and bends down to the floor,
shocked. After a few seconds, James gets himself together
and starts to walk off down the field and into the distance.
FADE OUT
EXT. ROAD BY EDGE OF PARK - AFTERNOON
James walks through a set of fences at the bottom of the
park and with an astonished face, he stops to look at
something in the distance.
Oh shit!?

JAMES

There are a group of people around a stopped car in the

road.
BYSTANDER #1
Oh my god are you alright!?
BYSTANDER #2
Ill call an ambulance!
James walks closer and sees the limp body of one of his
attackers unconcious on the floor alongside his bycycle,
headphones and bag.
BYSTANDER #2
(on the phone)
Yes, ambulance please
James quickly grabs the mans bag and headphones and walks
off into the distance, ignoring the people shouting behind
him.

BYSTANDER #3
Excuse me? You cant just take
that!....Hello?
He searches inside the bag and finds all of what the
attackers took from him, including Kerrys ring. The boy
takes this and his mobile out the bag, puts it in his jeans
pocket and slumps down onto the curb, staring at phone with
a missed call from Kerry.
FADE OUT
