This lesson takes approximately a
week and a half with two rounds of testing the solar ovens. - Students go through the Science Design process: ask, imagine, create, question, and improve to create their solar ovens. - Students had to create their own solar ovens and were not allowed to look up other designs. -The teacher offered materials to students they needed and may not need to build the ovens. It was up to them to decide what they think they would need and give a specific list of everything they would use. -Students had two days to plan and build their designs. -The hottest oven got to 115 degrees Fahrenheit on the first round of smores testing.
