Dear Human Resources Director,
I would like to apply for the current opening of a biochemistry faculty
member with the ability to conduct research and teach lectures. I learned of
this opportunity through my fellow colleague.
I currently have my Masters degree in biochemistry and will be completing
my Doctoral degree in biochemistry this coming May from the University of
Oregon. I completed my Bachelors degree in Philosophy 3 years ago, the
same time I completed my Bachelors degree in Biochemistry. My main
focus is molecular biophysics.
Over the course of my university academic career I have held onto 3
minimum wage jobs, a 4.1 GPA average, and have made the Deans list for
26 consecutive terms.
My goal at University of California, Berkeley is to continue my research in
understanding the biological processes of the human body as well as plants
on a microscopic, chemical and physical level.
Included are my letters of recommendations, college transcripts, resume,
studies done as part of the research program for undergraduates at the
University of Oregon and publication record. Please contact me if any
further information is needed.
Sincerely,
Jacob Ortega
