Size and Weight

The size and weight of a fish vary on the species in which the fish
belongs to

For example, a Largemouth Bass could way 8 lbs with a length


of 22 inches, while on the other hand a Brook Trout could
weigh
2 lbs with a length of 16 inches

Fish are covered in a skin


protected by scales

The scales can be


multicolored, but a majority
of scale coloring are a blueish and or green-ish tint to
blend in with the aquatic
environment or seaweed

Habitat and Ecosystem

Fish either live in two types of


aquatic environments

Fresh water

Salt water

Areas like streams, lakes, or


rivers

Areas such as oceans or seas

The food fish eat highly vary


mostly by the size of the fish

The smaller the fish, the more


likely it is to being a herbivore

Fish give birth by laying eggs

Some fish lay 2 eggs at a time


while some fish, like clown fish,
can lay hundreds to thousands of
eggs at once
