To Whom It May Concern:
Kaitlin Fry has completed her student teaching in a first grade
classroom at Tecumseh Acres Elementary. Kaitlin has worked very
well with the staff there, and they have been very pleased with
her work.
Kaitlin enjoys her students and works to build relationships with
them. She treats them with respect. Her manner is warm and
friendly.
Kaitlin plans lessons that involve many hands-on activities. Her
lessons are developmentally appropriate and engaging. She
reviews prior lessons at the beginning of a new lesson to help
students retain their information. She planned her unit in science.
Students learned about living vs. nonliving things and studied
the differences between plants and animals. Her culminating
activity was a creative animal project that is displayed for the
community to see.
Kaitlin uses a classroom management style focused on positive
behaviors. She is working to frame her expectations clearly so
that students are clear about what their behavior needs to look
like. Her classroom is positive, friendly and relaxed. Students
participate eagerly in her lessons.
Kaitlin is well on her way to becoming an effective young teacher.
She will be an asset to any program where she is assigned
Sincerely yours,
Julie Kuether
