To Whom It May Concern:
I will be going into Mechanical Engineering at Kansas State next year. I am applying for the
Presidential Scholarship, I heard about it through students at K-State.
I believe I am deserving of this scholarship because I have exceeded in academics throughout
high school and have been well-rounded in extra-curricular activities. I maintained a 4.00 and
scored a 32 on the ACT all while being a three sport athlete. I lettered in basketball, cross
country and track. I also was active in the music department, participating in musical, talent
show, and Concert Choir. Leadership is also something I have experience in. I was class
president sophomore year and Student Body President senior year. In addition, I attended the
American Legion Boys State of Kansas and was elected as a Representative.
