Application of wavelets in Image processing

In this project I will be analyzing various application of wavelets in image processing and how they
complement other techniques that are unable to perform well in both time and frequency domain analysis.
Main focus will be on basic image processing operations like blurring, feature detection and some
industrial applications like fault diagnosis in mechanical parts using images. Some advantages of wavelet
transform and why and in what scenario it is preferred would also be explored. Some of the papers I will
