You are to present a response to a poem. Remember to consider the following:


 In your analysis, your focus is on what the poem is about, what the poet’s message is and how
he/she communicates that message.
 You need to do a close reading of the poem, looking in particular for evidence and the effects,
of: the structure/form, rhythm and meter, rhyme, repetition, mood, tone, imagery, irony,
personification, syntax, diction, symbolism and other poetic techniques.
