1st Base Field Throw Catch
This drill involves a group of 3 students:
Star= 1st Baseman
Circle= 2nd Baseman
Triangle= Hitter
The ball starts at the triangle then is thrown to the 1 st basemen. After fielding the ball the 1st
baseman with throw the ball to the 2nd baseman.
As soon as the ball is thrown to the 2nd basemen the 1st basemen must sprint back to the bag
and use the correct footwork to be ready to receive the ball back from 2 nd base to beat the
runner out at 1st.
3rd Base Field Throw Catch
This drill involves a group of 3 students:
Star= 1st Baseman
Circle= 3rd Baseman
Triangle= Hitter
The ball starts at the triangle then is thrown to the 3 rd baseman. After fielding the ball the 3rd
baseman with throw the ball to the 1st baseman. As soon as the ball is hit to the 3 rd basemen
the 1st basemen must sprint back to the bag and use the correct footwork to be able to catch
the ball and stay on the bag. Once the ball is caught by the 1st basemen he/she throws the ball
back to 3rd base.
When the 3rd basemen catches the ball he must make a tag at the front of the bag.
