Scenario One
Tramping disaster
A group of students is tramping in the
Mamaku Forest Park. There are about 5-6
in the group. They are tramping in the
bush on an overnight camp and they are
about 3 hours into the forest.
Someone in their group falls over a rocky
ridge. This person has a bleeding nose and
a gash to the back of their head and
seems to be incoherent. There is no cell
phone coverage.
What do you do.?

My Answer to Scenario 1
Get a tourniquet(long piece of ripped shirt) for the incoherent person so
you can stop the bleeding on the back of his/her head and rip off a bit of
fabric from a shirt do apply onto his nose to stop that bleeding. Send
one back to Camp Ngamuwahine with details of the bleeding person's
location and tell them to call a rescue helicopter to pick up the bleeding
person.
