Motivation:
The motivation for this project can be described in 2 ways. The first being merely for a
required grade upon completion of the project. The second motivation is the need to
complete the work as part of a team.

Presentation: This lesson today is a culmination of the previous lessons on inherited

diseases. Each small group of scholars have been assigned a disease to research and
create a presentation that will be presented in front of the class. Clear instructions were
given as to the work to be completed in class. The scholars were sent a powerpoint
template via google docs that outlined the slides required for the assignment.
Practice/Application: The instructions were very clear and the scholars were hard
at work completing the required research and putting together of the presentation. There
were very few questions as the teacher circulated around the room while the scholars
worked.

Review/Assessment: While there werent very many questions today on the lesson,
it was clear that the teacher has done a good job of explaining the assignment and the
requirements of it. The conversations of the scholars led me to believe that they were
clear on the expectations and the vocabulary that accompanied the lesson. I would have
liked to see the vocabulary defined on the board or at the least a wordwall that would
allow immediate access to the current vocabulary. I would have had the objectives or
guiding questions posted so that the expectations were clearly defined and the outcomes
were well known.
