Walk-in Interview for the post of Research Associate / Senior Research Fellow &
JRF/Project Assistant as mentioned below:

The National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources proposes to recruit Research Associate (Two), Senior Research
Fellow (Three) & JRF/Project Assistant (One) under different externally funded research projects purely on ad-hoc
basis through walk-in interviews. These recruitments are on temporary basis and will be co-terminus with the
respective projects. The total emoluments will be as permissible under the guidelines issued by the respective
funding agencies/ICAR and are liable to changes as per the directives issued from time-to-time. The interested
candidates fulfilling all the requirements may appear for the Walk-in-interview for RA/SRF & JRF/Project
Assistant to be conducted on 17.05.2010 and on 20.05.2010. Candidates are required to bring brief curriculum
vitae indicating all academic achievements and copies of testimonials and their originals for validation while
appearing for the interview. The details of the vacancies, requirements, eligibility conditions and other details are

Note :

1. Upper age limit : RA- 40 years ; SRF- 35 years ; Age limits are relaxable for SC, ST and OBC candidates as
per Govt. of India/ICAR norms. Age limits for Women candidates is relaxed by 5 years for above posts.

2. Only the candidates with 60% and above marks in M.Sc. are eligible to appear in the interview for the
posts of SRFs.

3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

4. The date of interview is as mentioned above. The candidates should reach NBPGR, Pusa Campus, New
Delhi by 10:00 AM.

5. 3% vacancy of RAs / SRFs will be reserved for persons with disabilities as per rules.

6. Candidates should bring along their bio-data, original marks Sheets, certificates, photograph and other
testimonials for verification and submit an attested copy of the same along with the application form.
Mention clearly on top of the form the post and name of project applied for.

1. The selected candidates will be medically examined and an engagement offer will be issued which will be
followed by the joining reports, copies of which may be sent to the concerned Drawing & Disbursing Officer
(DDO), Finance & Accounts Officer and the Nodal/ Controlling Officer of the Scheme such as Assistant
Director General (ADG) concerned. The fee for medical examination will be reimbursed by the Institute /
SAU concerned.
