Instructional Procedures
Introduction
Oral/Demonstration Pretest - on their own (First time no help, second time TC)
Identify parts of the hearing aid
Write vocabulary on the board
Record Data What are students oral and signed responses? Use results to help guide pre teaching of vocabulary
Pre-teach Vocabulary - Practice spelling, writing, saying, and signing.

Developmental Activities
The student and teacher will act out possible situations when hearing aids break, and what to do.
The student will show and explain what he/she does with their hearing aids in the morning and before bed.
Interactive activities
Summative - Pre and posttest reading, signing, speech articulation, pronunciation and understanding of vocabulary
words.
Data Analysis and Reflection on Planning/Instruction; Plans for Re-teaching (as applicable)
The data collection of demonstration, pretest and posttest (the students formative and summative assessments results)
will determine if additional teaching is needed for mastery of objectives and standard.
Over the next few weeks, the Student will develop a chart and book with information about their hearing loss to take
home.
