MEDIA ALERT Standing Ovation for Outstanding Service
What: LaAmistad is hosting its first ever volunteer appreciation breakfast for its
500+ volunteers at The Lodge at Peachtree Presbyterian Church this Sunday. Event
includes food and drinks, live music, and an awards ceremony celebrating
outstanding service. All proceeds benefit LaAmistad programs.
Who: LaAmistad is a non-profit organization that specializes in helping Hispanic
children and families in the community achieve success in all areas of learning.
Outstanding volunteer nominees and winners as well as event sponsors will be
available throughout the event for interviews and pictures.
Why: An organization is only as good as its volunteers. This is to show La Amistads
appreciation for the hundreds of students and volunteers who make programs like
this possible.
Who should attend: La Amistad volunteers and their families, La Amistad sponsors,
and La Amistad students who have benefitted from the hard work of our volunteers.
When: Saturday April 16, 2016 9:00am-11:00am
