Background
The Adaptation to Climate Change in the Nile Delta through Integrated Coastal
Zone Management Project is UNDP/GEFs project. It was approved for funding in
mid-2009. It was originally a five year project of which the Project Inception
Phase commenced on 1st of April 2010. The implementation period was later
extended to the end of 2016. The implementing partners, on behalf of the
Egyptian Government, are the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation (MWRI)
and the National Water Research Center (NWRC). The project seeks a driver for
the remaining period of the project.
POSITION SUMMARY AND JOB PURPOSE
Under the supervision of the executive manager of the Adaptation to Climate
Change in the Nile Delta through Integrated Coastal Zone Management Project
(ACCNDP), the Driver will be responsible for the following duties:
1. Drive office vehicle for the transport of authorized personnel inside and
outside Alexandria.
2. Collect and deliver mail, documents, and other items.
3. Ensure that Project vehicle comply with all operating security standards.
4. Take care of the day to day maintenance of assigned vehicle, check oil,
water, battery and brakes.
5. Conduct periodic inspection of the car at the approved agencies and make
the necessary renovations for license as per deadlines
6. Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes and greasing.
7. Follow all rules and regulations in relation to the management of ACCNDP
vehicles.
8. Perform other related duties as required.

Maintain work confidentiality at all times.

Education, Training and Experience

Professional Driving License that is at least three (3) years old.

Training in Mechanics will be an added advantage.

At least three (3) years working experience as a Professional licensed Driver

for a company or public service agency.

Arabic (spoken and written). Knowledge of English language would be an

added advantage.

Work Station: The position will be based at the ACCNDP premises in

Alexandria, Egypt
